Dear Environmental Justice Supporter:
Cincinnati's propesed Environmental Justice Ordinance (revised!) must be voted out of the Health Committee at their NEXT meeting to pass.
The next meeting of the Health, Environment, and Education Committee will be held on
May 27th, Wednesday, at 12 Noon. (Arrive early to speak)
Once voted out of the Committee, the ordinance must then be approved by City Council at their NEXT meeting:
2 PM (1:30 for speakers) Thursday May 28 at City Hall.
Please note due to the Memorial Day Holiday, the Health Committee is meeting on Wednesday (May 27th) instead of the usual Tuesday, and the Council meeting is meeting on Thursday (May 28th) instead of the usual Wednesday.
Here is the final version of the EJ Ordinance
Here is the City Manager's summary of the bill, the pros, and the cons
(along with the final "tweaks' to the language that had been recommended)
